AI plugins for Claude Code, Obsidian and more

A plugin adds to an app you already use instead of asking you to move to a new one. That makes plugins the lowest-friction way to get AI into your work: the notes stay in Obsidian, the references in Zotero, the scene in Blender, and the model comes to them. This list covers AI plugins for those apps and plugins for Claude Code itself, ranked by GitHub stars.

Claude Code plugins

In Claude Code, a plugin is a package that can hold commands, agents, skills, hooks and MCP servers, installed with the /plugin command from a marketplace. Anthropic keeps an official directory, and anyone can publish a marketplace from a GitHub repo.

Teams use plugins to share a setup: one repo with the commands, skills and servers everyone should have, installed the same way on every machine.

Plugins are convenient because one install brings a whole setup. The flip side is that you get everything the author included, so read what a plugin adds before you keep it.

Plugins for the apps you already use

For notes and research, AI plugins for Obsidian and Zotero let you ask questions of your own vault or library. For 3D and creative work, plugins that expose an app to an assistant let it build or change a scene on request.

Check whether a plugin sends your content to a hosted model, and which one. Many let you choose, including local models.
