Your profile, your last results, your theme and the AI you picked are kept in your browser's local storage. Clearing this site's data removes them.

If you rank with your own AI key, the key is kept for this tab only, or longer if you tick "remember".

Your profile is sent to SkillScout's server, which scores tools against it for that scan and does not save it.

To prevent abuse, the server keeps a short-lived counter keyed by a hashed version of your IP address. It expires within a day.

When you rank with your own key, your profile and your top picks go straight from your browser to the provider you chose: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq or OpenRouter. The key never reaches SkillScout.

A random ID in your browser lets SkillScout count visitors without knowing who they are. Anonymous counts of actions such as "scan started" are kept so I can see what works.

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which set no cookies.

Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, with cookies switched off. Your profile, anything you paste and your AI key are hidden from its recordings.

Fonts load from Google Fonts. The site is hosted on Vercel.
